I get this question a lot and it reminds me of Walt Disney World, and many guests asking "What time is the 3 o'clock parade?" (but what they really mean is when will the parade be coming by where I am sitting?)
So, to translate from above, here's what I think most people mean: HOW can the WNY Medicare SmartStart Program be FREE?
Here's my quick and simple answer...we are a privately funded entity. This distinction allows us to decide if we want to charge a consulting fee on the front-end or earn a fixed-fee-for-service on the back-end.
Now, I am blessed to be able to provide the main source of income to support my wife and kids directly from helping WNY'ers through my WNY Medicare SmartStart Program. My logic with offering my complete program for free...rather than charge an upfront fee (which would more than likely scare people away), I chose to accept a fixed fee-for-service, determined by the Centers for Medicare Services (CMS), which is earned every two-weeks based the number of people I can successfully put through my program.
Said simply, I can actually provide better for my family by keeping things free to the public, and getting paid per person as I actually help them. So, WIN-WIN-WIN! You get the help you want. I get paid for helping. And you don't have to pay me because the money comes from somewhere else.
